ADAS — Advanced Driver Assistance Systems — covers features like lane departure warning, lane keep assist, forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking and traffic sign recognition. Most of them rely on a camera mounted behind the windshield.

When the windshield is replaced, the camera sits in new glass and has to be realigned so it reads the road correctly. A camera that's off by a fraction of a degree can misjudge a lane line or a car ahead.

How it works with us

  • Tell us about the camera when you ask for a quote — it changes which windshield fits and whether calibration is needed.
  • We replace the windshield in our shop.
  • We calibrate the camera before you leave. Depending on the model, calibration can add some time to the visit.
